Australia has done well with home loans. Owning a home is part of Australia’s culture, and the industry has had a lot of time to get good at this. If you were to ask anyone where to get a home loan, they’d name one of the big four banks.

But it’s not the same for businesses.

Business lending hasn’t had the same amount of innovation, competition or customer focus. There are no major players, regulations, or safeguards for businesses - and it can be hard to find who you want to work with.

That’s what we’re working on.

I started Vía Private because Australian businesses should have access to Private Credit, and get the level of service they expect from a major bank. I don’t know why they don’t.
